I am a designer and software engineer engaged in projects with social impact in Africa. Living currently in Bingerville (Côte d'Ivoire), I was lucky enough to co-found two ventures providing media and technology services.
Since 2008 as African Hope, I have been editing Wikipedia, in French mainly, as well as its sister projects such as Commons, where my bot gives a helping hand from time to time. Alongside my volunteer editing, I was involved in the growth of the Wikimedia Community in Côte d’Ivoire, building partnerships with librarians and creating a local Wikimedia developers community.
The efforts of the Trust and Safety team aim at making Wikimedia projects a safer place for all, those who consume its content as well as the volunteers shaping it. I help by investigating safety issues, working on privacy policies, and building technical tools to mitigate risks inherent to the handling of sensitive data.
Previously, I served as Strategy Coordinator for the French-speaking communities.
